Registration for individual
Any individual who provides any type of on-site wastewater service is required to register with the State Board of On-Site Wastewater Professionals. An on-site wastewater service is any activity associated with the design, installation, operation and maintenance, pumping, repair or property transfer inspection of an on-site wastewater system. Any individual who provides on-site wastewater services in the State is required to pay a $150 initial registration fee, and must renew and pay a $150 fee every 2 years. The Department maintains a <a href="https://mde.maryland.gov/programs/water/BayRestorationFund/OnsiteDisposalSystems/Documents/Onsite%20Systems/OSDS-Registered-Individuals.pdf" target="_blank" >list of individuals</a> who are registered to perform on-site wastewater disposal services, which local permitting authorities reference for compliance. - Step 1:
- Complete the Application to Register as Individual Performing On-Site Wastewater Services
- Step 2:
- Submit and pay $150 registration fee online
- Step 3:
- Once processed, your name and business information will be added to MDE's list of Registered On-site Wastewater Professionals
